Pan, I find this piece particularly beautiful and powerful. I agree with all the comments about the wonderful transition from the green to the purple/black, and how the composition draws the viewer into the mysterious depths. What a fantastic way to evoke the essence of that narrative. And I love the way the heads-on-sticks motif came out; that could have easily gotten too literal, but your omission of anything resembling sticks was very smart. The rough texture of the dark area, the dense layering of the colors in the green -- all of it is superbly executed. The only one thing I might suggest is to add some even darker ink to the very center (soft and diffuse, of course, but just something to give that area more of a gradient too). Really well done, Pan -- a great way to end the semester.
